What it does
- Send a deposit invoice by text or email in under a minute
- The client pays by card from their phone
- After the session, send the balance the same way, with the deposit already taken off
- See who paid a deposit, who owes a balance and what came in this month, in one list
Why it matters
Cash apps and screenshots are hard to track and easy to dispute. An invoice with your studio name, the date and the amount is clear for you and for the client. A deposit that goes toward the tattoo is the most common policy, and it is easy to explain: "$100 holds your date and comes off the final price."
Example
A forearm piece estimated at about 4 hours: with sample rates of $300 for the first 2 hours and $150 for each hour after, the estimate is $600. The client pays a $100 deposit by card when they book. After the session you invoice the $500 balance. Read the tattoo deposit policy guide for amounts and refund rules artists use.
What it is not
InkPilot sends invoices that clients pay by card. It does not sell gift cards and does not charge cards automatically on a schedule.
